We compared Algebra 1 scores from 24 New Jersey high schools. Twelve schools using Albert were matched with 12 similar schools that didn't use the platform. The goal was to see if rigorous online practice helped more students meet or exceed state expectations.
Schools using Albert achieved a proficiency rate of 37.2%, outperforming the matched group of non-users (32.8%) by 4.4 percentage points.

In Algebra 1, the volume of practice made a big difference. The study found a strong link between the total number of questions attempted and higher test scores.
The findings suggest that for New Jersey students, high-quality practice attempts are a catalyst. Practicing more on Albert led to better outcomes on the state test.
