Albert Essential with Bronx High School Districts 8, 10, and 11 in 2025.

Over the years, our Content team has developed a deep expertise in New York's academic standards, graduation requirements, and assessments. We've summarized the considerations that have guided our product development below.
New York uses the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards (NGLS) for ELA and Math, derived from Common Core with New York-specific revisions in 2017. Science follows the New York State Science Learning Standards (P-12 Science).
New York assesses students through NYSTP in Grades 3–8, and Regents exams in high school. Students must pass Regents exams in four required subjects to graduate, and the state offers Advanced, Regents, and Local Diplomas.

Standards-aligned practice mirroring NYSTP rigor:
ELA & Math: Grades 3–8 (NY State Testing Program, NYSTP).
Science: Grades 5 and 8 (NYSTP Science).
Regents exams: Required for graduation (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies).
SAT® & ACT®: Widely used.
AP® & IB: Extensive offerings statewide.
New York requires 22 credits for the Regents Diploma, including 4 ELA, 4 Social Studies, 3 Math, 3 Science, 1 Art, 1 Health, 0.5 PE, and 1 Language Other Than English. Students must pass Regents exams in four subjects (ELA, 1 Math, 1 Science, 1 Social Studies) plus one Pathway exam.

Rigorous practice across grades and subjects, fewer students fall behind.
Elective credits, Civics, Financial Literacy, Health, and more.

My district and my administration love this and want us to use it. We went through tools that are on the chopping block, and Albert kept coming out on top. The rigor, the standards alignment, and the data tools make it a clear keeper.
Albert provides my AP® CSP students with a way to review questions that challenge them to demonstrate mastery of the content. The explanations are detailed enough that students can learn from wrong answers, which is exactly what I want them to do before the exam.
I love that students can choose their own topics to study, instead of the teacher having to create assignments. They take real ownership of their learning. The variety keeps them engaged.
I have been teaching for the past 9 years, and I have found myself always searching for a way to do targeted reviews other than the same worksheets. Albert gave me exactly that — a standards-aligned review that adapts to each student's needs.
Albert.io is a very valuable tool that I use regularly in my AP® Macroeconomics classes. Albert's great question bank allows me to assign targeted practice, and the instant feedback accelerates student learning more than any textbook I've used.

Students who independently prepared with Albert’s AP® Question Banks consistently outperformed national AP® averages in 2024 and 2025, driven by sustained, high-volume practice.
